Jenner Elementary Academy of the Arts
Letters to Santa
Since 2006, Donlen has supported a “Letters to Santa” program, in which Donlen employees respond to letters that Jenner students write to Santa. The nearly 400 students, most of whom come from families that are living at or near the poverty level, are delighted by the appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus, who distribute the gifts to each and every child.
Career Day

Every year, Donlen hosts a career day for sixth- and seventh-graders at its corporate headquarters in Northbrook, IL, bringing in local business owners from a wide variety of industries to speak with the students. “Hosting the Career Day for the Jenner students is an important part of our overall support of the school,” says Tom Callahan, Donlen President and COO. “By involving a broader community and with the support of local businesses, we hope to help the students explore a number of career opportunities.”
Ongoing School Support
Donlen’s support of Jenner Academy extends beyond Christmastime. For the past four years, Donlen has helped with basic needs for the children’s education and quality of living. Employees assist with an annual school supply drive to ensure students have the necessary tools for a successful learning experience, and help to raise money for a summer sports camp.
