Import Lead Time Calendars & Fleet Specs
Average lead times vary depending on whether the vehicle is built abroad or domestically. Frequently, import manufacturers maintain a pool and/or can pull from inbound unsold retail inventory to fill order requests, significantly reducing lead times.

Ford (US) Explorer 2010 Model Year Final Order Due Date 9/3/2010! Will try
Ford has exceeded their fleet allocation for the 2010MY Explorer model effective 8/31/2010 based on orders received to date this week. Orders will continue to be accepted by Ford through 9/3/2010 but on a will try basis only. Ford will pursue additional fleet allocation and communicate if they cannot secure production.

Ford is anticipating exceeding their fleet allocation for the 2010MY F150 model based on the high volume of orders received to date this week. Orders will continue to be accepted by Ford through 8/20/2010 but on a will try basis. Ford will communicate if they can not secure additional allocation.

Ford Motor Company 2011 Model Year Focus Balance Out Plan
Ford Focus 2011MY Balance Out deadline is 8/20/2010. It is important that you are aware of a 2 month production gap. The final order due date is a best estimate, and orders received on or near this date are not guaranteed to be built. In order to ensure allocation for final 2011MY Focus vehicles, place your orders as quickly as possible. As in the past, final order due dates can be pulled ahead if production capacity is reached before the announced deadline.
11MY Focus Balance Out Strategy
There is a 2 month production gap between the final production week for 2011MY and start up of production for the 2012MY units. The Focus is being built at a new flexible manufacturing assembly plant with all new tooling requiring additional lead time.

Don't forget to file the Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) by the annual filing deadline of August 31st. If you have any vehicles that are 55,000 pounds or more, you must file IRS Form 2290, Heavy Vehicle Use Tax. Any company can electronically submit this form to receive its Schedule 1 quicker, but if a company has 25 or more heavy use vehicles, they MUST e-file. See instructions for Form 2290 here.

Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. Announces an Increase in Delivery, Processing, and Handling (DPH) Charges
Toyota has increased the Delivery, Processing, and Handling (DPH). Rates outlined below are effective for all vehicles (regardless of MY) scheduled for processing (invoicing) on or after July 1, 2010. This includes all states with the exception of Hawaii.

Production of Mercury Products Discontinued for orders received 6/18 and beyond. Please be aware there will be no commercial fleet allocation for the remainder of 2010MY & 2011MY. This includes all Commercial, Lease and Government orders for 2010 Mountaineer, 2011 Grand Marquis and 2011 Milan/Mariner/Mountaineer orders.

July 26, 2010, is the final day to order the following 2010MY Chrysler products:

To qualify for the 2010MY Loyalty Bonus the orders must:
- Be submitted after May 17, 2010
- Be submitted on or before July 26, 2010
- The order must be Concession Business. A concession must be on the order
- Basic Fleet Allowance Business (FDA) DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THE LOYALTY BONUS
- Out of Stock units DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE LOYALTY BONUS
- The Loyalty Bonus will be an Invoice Credit (Line Item Credit on the Invoice)
- The National Fleet Office must be advised of the orders submitted and given the VONs of the qualifying orders.
- This program does not apply to extended 2010 proposals already negotiated.
- The Loyalty Bonus is for 2010 Product only and will not be extended to 2011

General Motors HD Express & Savana with 8-Lug Wheels Shipping Hold Announced
The GM Wentzville, MO assembly plant has announced a supplier issue which has Heavy Duty Express and Savana Vans with 8-lug wheels on a shipping hold status. GM understands the urgency of shipping vehicles for customers and the plant is diligently working on this issue and is identifying vehicles for release daily. Vans without 8-lug wheels are not on hold, however they may be delayed in shipment due to the hold activity. Due to current volume of vehicles involved, and the process the plant must follow, expedite and "Hot" ship requests cannot be accommodated at this time. To date, Donlen has no units impacted specifically by the 8-lug wheel issue but shipping delays on all Express/Savana Vans may be experienced because of the sheer number of vehicles impacted.

Ford 2010 Model Year Fusion Final Order Due Date moved up to 5/11/2010 for US and Canada
Ford has received more 2010MY Fusion orders than they have the ability to build. Ford is attempting to secure additional allocation to produce orders received thru 5/12. Ford anticipates that by 5/21 information will be available regarding which orders they will not be able to build.
Chrysler Group LLC’s models offer the latest safety and security technology
The company employs a two-fold safety approach: conventional safety features, such as pretensioning, constant-force seat-belt retractors (CFR), active head restraints and supplemental side-curtain air bags, combined with accident-avoidance features.
Ram Chassis Cab Trucks on the Way
The Ram Truck Brand today announced it will immediately begin shipping the all-new 2011 Ram Chassis Cab truck to its North American commercial vehicle dealers. The first Ram Chassis Cabs will start arriving in dealerships in late May 2010.

Ford Fusion Hybrid Final Order Due Date moved up to 4/26/2010 and Mercury Milan Final Order Due Date moved up to 4/21/10
Due to several large orders, Ford has exceeded their 2010MY Fusion/Milan Hybrid US production allocation. Ford is evaluating orders received on or before 4/26 and attempting to secure additional allocation. Ford anticipates that they will know the outcome by next week.
General Motors - Delayed Production of 2010 Model Year (MY) Chevrolet HHR and Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon
GM has communicated that as a result of a disruption in component availability 2010 model year HHR and Colorado/Canyon production will be delayed by two to three weeks and production dates may change on effected orders. General Motors plans to produce all 2010 MY vehicles prior to the changeover to 2011 MY production. Production plans for 2011 MY are not expected to be impacted. GM will be able to provide updates relative to the impact of this disruption once production resumes and a recovery plan is outlined.

Ford Ranger Final 2010 Order Due Date moved up to 04/30/10 for US and 04/26/10 for Canada
The 2010 Model Year final order due date for Ford Ranger has been moved up to 04/30/10 in the US, and 04/26/10 for Canada. Please plan accordingly.
Ford Kentucky Truck Plant 2011 Model Year Truck Delay
Ford has announced a supplier parts shortage, the production volume for 2011MY Super Duty 4x4 trucks at the Kentucky Truck Plant has temporarily been reduced for the weeks of April 19 & 26, 2010. As a result, Super Duty 4X4 orders may be delayed several weeks. Units produced prior to the build week 4/19 are not affected by this delay. Ford apologizes for this delay and is working with the supplier to resolve the parts shortage.
Model Year Emissions Requirement
The states of Maryland and New Mexico will now require Northeast Emissions for vehicles less than 14,001 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) starting with the 2011MY.

Nissan North America, Inc. Announces Increase in Destination & Handling (D&H) Charges
Effective March 20, 2010 Nissan is increasing the destination and delivery (D&H) charge on specific models. D&H changes on all Versa, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, 370Z’s and cube models will increase $20 to $740 and Titan and Armada will increase $150 to $950. The specific D & H charge by model is as follows:

Ford Transit Connect Final Order Due Date moved up to 3/23/2010
Due to the recent heavy influx of Transit Connect orders, Ford has reached their 2010MY Transit Connect US production maximum. Orders received on 3/23/2010 or before will be produced. Ford is evaluating orders received after 3/24/2010 and attempting to secure additional allocation. Ford anticipates that they will know the outcome by the end of next week.

Ford Motor Company – Final order dates moving up fast
Ford has advised that production slots are filling up fast and as a result Ford is strongly recommending customers place their final 2010 orders as soon as possible. Ford anticipates pulling forward additional final order due dates on a number of models. Ford has indicated that the next two models that may be pulled forward are the Fusion and the Escape.

Ford Motor Company – Final order dates moving up
Due to a higher than normal order rate Ford is recommending that you submit your final 2010MY orders as soon as possible. We recently experienced an order cut off for Taurus and Flex with less than 24-hour advance notice. The 2010MY Ford Transit Connect final order due date has been moved up to 3/26/2010, previously announced for 4/23/2010. Final Order Due Dates for both the Fusion and Escape are both expected to be pulled ahead to some time in May.
General Motors Full-Size Truck and Van Diesel Update
Based on the latest information available from GM, start of production for interim 2010MY Chevrolet Express / GMC Savana Vans and 2011MY Heavy-Duty Full Size Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra Regular and Crew-Cab Pickup Trucks equipped with the new diesel engine is being re-timed to begin production in late June 2010.
As a reminder production will begin with non-Special Equipment Order (SEO) equipped orders and follow with SEO equipped orders once production trial runs (PTR's) have been successfully completed.

GM of Canada announced today they have cut off allocation on the following models effective 3/17/2010: Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV Chevrolet Suburban & Tahoe and GMC Yukon

Ford Flex and Taurus Final Order Due Dates moved up
Due to a higher than normal order rate for the 2010MY Ford Flex, Ford will be closing the order bank on March 5, 2010. Final order due date for 2010MY Taurus was March 3, 2010. Ford is recommending that you submit your final 2010 Ford Econoline and Fusion orders as soon as possible as it is possible that final order due dates on these models may also be pulled forward.
