FridayFleet Survey Results

Thanks to everyone who responded to our recent survey. We received great feedback and wanted to share some of the key points:

  • We won’t change the delivery day! Overwhelmingly, you said Friday was the best day to receive our news, so Friday it is.
  • We will be changing the layout to allow for easier reading. Look for this to happen in January 2014.
  • We’ll be focusing on the topics that interest you most in future issues.

Driver’s Corner

You start the car, fasten the seat belt, and all of the usual warning lights turn off – except one: Check Engine. But the car is running fine, so maybe the light is malfunctioning. You’ll have it looked at later. The problem is that this little light can signal everything from a loose gas cap to potential engine damage. Ignoring it can mean loss of productivity down the road. Don’t ignore the warning sign. > Read more about what the Check Engine light means

And finally…

And finally, since 1954, the US has been honoring veterans with a national holiday. This year, Veterans Day is Monday, November 11, and we’d like to say thank you to all those who have served or who are actively serving our country. There are many ways to honor vets throughout the year – not only on this one particular day. There’s “Take a Veteran to School Day” (we really like that one!), volunteer or make donations to your local VA medical center, and if possible, provide discounts or special offers for your services to veterans (Hertz does this as do many other businesses). And the auto industry does its part as well. For instance, the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and Toyotapartner with the Hiring Our Heroes program to help military veterans find meaningful employment; GM has a separate careers site for veterans; Ford has a long history of hiring veterans; and Chrysler has a Veteran’s Committee that provides veterans with education and support. Remember to thank a veteran on Monday.

Have a nice weekend. Safe travels.
