Driver’s Corner

A recent study by Travelers Insurance revealed that while 85% of people say driving while using personal technology is very risky, 25% of people who say they engage in distracted driving believe they can do so safely. The study also reported that on average, nearly 40% of drivers are distracted for 15 minutes per hour driven.

Distracted driving is a risk for everyone on the roads. One recommendation to reduce the temptation of answering a call or text while driving is to turn off your phone and put it in your globe box while you are driving. Learn more about the study and find more tips for reducing distracted driving here.

And Finally

Do you have anything weird in your car’s trunk? According to a poll of 2,000 drivers in the UK, you’re not alone! Some of the things people reported keeping in their cars include mannequins, a bale of hay, and 160 hats. Read more about what the poll uncovered about the items people keep in their vehicles here.

Have a great weekend and safe travels.
