Sonya Garrepy, fleet manager at IDEXX, hosted a “Take the Pledge” campaign to discourage texting and driving at the company’s annual field support meeting last week. Garrepy’s goal was to get field support professionals to sign the pledge, and the campaign was a huge success! According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Halloween is one of the top three days for pedestrian injuries and fatalities. This Halloween as you head out to your spooky festivities, be aware of little ones who may cross the street unexpectedly.

Some good safety tips to keep in mind include driving at least 5mph below the speed limit in residential areas and turning on your headlights to increase visibility, even during the day. In this article, AAA provides tips for both drivers and pedestrians to keep everyone safe this Halloween.

One car lover who was worried about his BMW E30 M3 being left in the garage during Hurricane Matthew went all out to bring his car inside his house to keep it safe from the storm.
